Come and build your dream app with distinguished Google Engineers to build Mobile Apps with Machine Learning features using the powerful Firebase Mobile Development Platform ( https://firebase.google.com/ )
Starting the day with a kick-off presentation followed by around 5 hours of hacking time for attendees. We’d expect about 75-100 to be hacking during the day, and we would expect a few community mentors with some Firebase knowledge in addition to our Firebasers to help attendees. Google Engineers will be there in co-ordinating this hackathon.

Firebase announced ML Kit. This hackathon designed to to see what developers can build Machine Learning Apps with this product.
Dong leads the iOS engineering team of ML Kit, and is responsible for architecting the product and leading the development. For the past 12 years he has been leading several engineering teams across Gmail, Google Maps, and On-Device Machine Learning. Most recently, he helped starting and launching ML Kit at 2018 Google I/O. Dong calls Silicon Valley home for the last 23 years and enjoys full-stack development. Originally from Beijing, with BECS from Tsinghua and MSCS from Purdue.
Product Manager, Google
Sachin is a product manager with a special passion for making software development easy and fun. He has worked on several teams at Google, including Google Cloud, Play, and now Firebase. Before joining product management he worked worked as a strategy & ops manager in Google’s Sales organization, and prior to Google, he worked in finance at Amazon.
He holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Computer Science from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
Developer Programs Engineer, Google
Kalyan is an engineer at Google and has worked on the Firebase team for the past three years. In this role, he focuses on simplifying machine learning so that more people can use it to build awesome apps. Prior to Google, he worked at Medtronic where he helped develop cardiac and neural implants for people with disabilities. Kalyan holds a masters degree from Duke University and in his spare time enjoys hiking, playing basketball, and building autonomous robots.
UX designer, Google
Sonakshi is a UX designer at Google who is passionate about designing user-centred interfaces for developers. She wants to combine her software development experience and UX skills to bridge the gap between engineers implementing code and designers building user-centred interfaces. She has a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Prior to grad school, she was a software developer working on app development and the FreeBSD kernel
